Victoria Sarmiento is a handmade slow fashion brand based in Brighton, East Sussex. Every garment is designed, patterned, cut and sewn by me, Victoria, with a commitment to creating timeless pieces that are made to be worn and loved for years to come.

My journey began at the age of 15, when I taught myself to sew as a way of bringing my ideas to life. Over the years, that passion continued to grow, eventually leading me to leave my corporate career in 2026 to pursue a lifelong dream of starting my own label

With a background in theatre, my work is deeply inspired by storytelling, nature and history. Growing up in East Sussex, I was surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage, which continue to shape my designs. I often spend my days exploring antique shops, studying the craftsmanship and character of historical garments, and reinterpreting those timeless details for the modern wardrobe.

Wear what feels real

Each Victoria Sarmiento garment is designed to balance contemporary wearability with timeless influences, drawing on the textures, colours and landscapes of East Sussex alongside the elegance and craftsmanship of historical dress. Rather than following fleeting trends, we create pieces with longevity in mind. Clothing that feels authentic, enduring and made to be cherished.

Sustainability is central to everything we create. We believe clothing should move and breathe with you, which is why we work exclusively with carefully chosen natural fibres and loose-woven fabrics that offer comfort, longevity and a beautiful drape. From the fabric and thread to the final finishing details, we choose high-quality organic and natural materials wherever possible.

From the first sketch to the final stitch, every step of our process takes place in-house at our Brighton studio. Each Victoria Sarmiento garment is crafted with patience, intention and a deep respect for both the people who wear it and the world it comes from.
